Janet is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). She earned her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, and completed an internship at Daya Counselling Centre during her training. Prior to that, she completed both a B.A. in Psychology and a B.Ed., and has previous experience working as a high school educator.

Janet operates with a social justice perspective, and utilizes elements of a variety of counselling orientations – Cognitive Behavioural, Strengths-Based, and Person-Centered, among others. She believes that everyone possesses a set of strengths and gifts. Through the process of discovery, she works from an open and non-judgmental standpoint to help clients to tap into and utilize strengths that they already possess in order to find the answers they seek, and to ultimately experience healing.
